Cloud Platform Engineering
Automate Everything

A passionate Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineer specializing in Infrastructure Automation using Observability.

  • AWS & Azure (coming soon GCP)
  • Terraform & Ansible
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Kubernetes (and container platforms)
  • Monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, CloudWatch)

Currently supporting, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical platforms for a global enterprise FinTech organization across production environments in North America, LATAM, and EMEA.

Most Recent Collaborations:

  • Cloud Observability: Automated end-to-end observability for applications and infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
    • Built and enhanced Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Python.
    • Integrated observability platforms including Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, and the AWS DevOps Agent.
    • Improved incident response automation, reducing Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) for SRE and NOC teams.
  • SRE: Engineering Automated Deployments and Monitoring solutions for internal Application and Software Development teams.
    • Problems I was solving: (1) End-to-end observability of applications. (2) Reduced MTTR for application incidents by 24% year over year. (3) Automated deployments by implementing and improving continuous deployment and delivery pipelines.
    • How I did it:: (1) Expanded enterprise use and adoption of New Relic as an observability platform. (2) automated broad use of New Relic agents in applications at built time making it part of the CI. Also, backed in infrastructure agent in Terraform and images for infrastructure. Added integrations on the platform for monitoring of the Azure platform and servers. (3) Lots of training and onboarding of users.
    • Some Tools/Platforms I used: Azure, New Relic, Azure Monitor, Terraform, Ansible, Python, BaSH, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, AKS.
  • Principle Engineer facilitating the migration of applications from local bare-metal systems onto cloud infrastructure on AWS. (Python, BASH, Ansible, Architectural Design, and Platform Troubleshooting). Problems I was solving:
    1. Closed knowledge gap of operational support team. How: documented existing day-to-day operations of team, gathered the documentational and tribal knowledge of the architecture teams, and bridged the gap by educating the operations team, leading-by-example.
    2. Automated a manual migration process that took 96 manhours per month down to 8 per month. How: using Python and Selenium to script the process of using the UI of a customer enterprise applications that DID NOT have an API.

Technical background spans the full software delivery lifecycle, including:

  • Cloud & Platform Engineering (AWS & Azure)
  • DevOps, GitOps, and Continuous Delivery
  • Infrastructure Automation
  • Site Reliability Engineering
  • Testing, Monitoring, and Production Operations
  • Enterprise Platform Deployment and Support

While I have a broad technical foundation, my greatest strength is communication. I enjoy translating complex technical challenges into practical solutions by collaborating with stakeholders at every level, including:

  • Directors and C-level executives
  • Solution Architects and Software Engineers
  • Operations leaders and IT managers

I’m passionate about solving complex problems, coaching others, fostering collaboration, and continuously learning new technologies and practices. Although I have earned a Bachelors in Business Management, over the years I have become a Certified Scrum Master, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Currently, earning my Certifications in Azure & GCP with a focus on Platform Engineering, MLOps and AI Infrastructure Engineering.

I’m always interested in hearing from former and current colleagues, managers, or professionals in all connected industries, so feel free to contact me through my LinkedIn profile if you’d like to connect.
